My lifelong passion has been the world of finance. I studied banking at university, but instead of pursuing a career as a corporate banker, I decided to take a different path. After successfully selling my first company in 2003, I fully dedicated myself to trading.
With over two decades of experience in the financial markets, I now manage my own capital as well as the capital of my family and friends through an investment vehicle. I trade exclusively using automated, systematic strategies. The foundation of my portfolio is built on momentum and trend-following strategies, while several other strategies utilize mean reversion approaches.
My strategies are simple and transparent. I believe that to trade external capital effectively, I must be able to explain to clients the principles of the strategies and the contexts in which they are likely to perform well or face challenges. Education and clear communication are integral parts of my approach.
I view diversification at the portfolio level as the key to successful trading. Currently, I trade approximately a dozen strategies that have different dynamics, utilize capital at different times, and are designed to perform well in various market conditions. This diversification helps mitigate risk and provides more consistent returns over time.
In my trading, I do not aim for the highest possible returns; given the larger amount of capital managed, risk management and stable performance are more important to me. I focus on preserving capital and achieving steady growth rather than chasing quick profits.
As a passionate advocate for sharing knowledge, I founded Cracking Markets to provide tips and insights about trading. Through this platform, I aim to help others navigate the complexities of the financial markets and develop their own successful trading strategies.
Originally from the Czech Republic, I now spend most of my time in the sunny city of Málaga, Spain, where I continue to explore new trading opportunities and enjoy the vibrant culture.
